Information for Vendors

How much does it cost?

Booth fees are priced at an introductory offer this season - $60 for a 7/5ft space including table and chair.

 

How much space do I get?

Each space will fit a 6 ft table plus a comfortable buffer between you and the neighboring vendor, and is approximately 5 ft deep.

 

What do I need on the day?

You will be required to bring your own power extension cord (as required), display items, table covering, additional lighting (as required), cash box and float, booth signage etc.  

 

About the Market Venue:

The charming 3800 square foot Farmers Institute hall has that authentic old-time community hall atmosphere. It has beautiful original hardwood floors and a gorgeous little inset stage where the live & local music will take place on the day of the event.

 

Accessibility & facilities:

A large covered porch exists at the front entrance and a wheelchair accessible ramp is located at the side of the building. There are Men's, Women's, and Wheelchair accessible washrooms as well as an infant change room equipt with change table.

 

Parking:

Ample parking exists at the side and front of the building for easy access for unloading and loading goods and parking is permitted on the street around the property.

Show bags

Show bags will be given to the lucky first 20-30 attendees of the show.

 

Each vendor is required to participate and send 20 small pieces to the show organizer 4 weeks prior to the show date.

The piece may include things such as a sample of your merchandise or something related, a discount coupon for your booth, and your business card.

 

Have fun with it & be creative! This is a fantastic way to promote your business and wares.

Marketing campaign?

We are concentrating on building a following in the local community and beyond to the greater island community. We target social media like facebook, instagram, and link with fellow art, craft and design communities and bloggers.

 

Our print campaign consists of local newspaper ads, postering, and signage.

 

Each vendor will be sent a stack of marketing material to distribute personally in their community. We invite and encourage each vendor join the Show of Hands facebook event page and send out personal invites to their friends, family and networks.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

How much does it cost the

public to attend?

$2 at the door

Kids under 12 get in free

Half of the proceeds will be going back into supporting the  Famers Institute and its community projects.
